Run for Your Life Virtual Run FAQs

Run for Your Life is our biggest fundraising event of the year, and an important opportunity for our community to come together, give back, and have some fun! While COVID-19 interrupted our traditional plans, our Virtual 5K will make it easier than ever to participate and commemorate Recovery Month.

Below are a few questions you may have about virtual races. When you’re ready to run, click here to register!

What is a virtual race?

A virtual run lets you run/walk/bike your chosen distance anywhere, anytime! Virtual races have become a great option for people who want to participate in an event but might not be able to be there on race day. Complete your distance any day you’d like (within the designated timeframe), at the location of your choice and be sure to share your experience with us on social media by tagging your photos with #rfyl20!

How long do I have to complete the race?

You can do the race anytime during September. Just remember to submit your results by September 30th.

Will I still receive a race shirt and medal?

Yes! We will mail you the race swag after your results are submitted and approved.

How do I upload my results?

-Track your run with a virtual fitness tracker (Fitbit, Strava, Runkeeper, etc.)
-When you complete your race, submit your results through the event’s ACTIVE Results page: first entering your registration ID, then enter your Finish time and upload a screenshot from your timing app or GPS watch that shows the time and distance completed.
-Don’t forget to share your accomplishment on social media with #rfyl20
