Every November, Team Odyssey takes on the NYC Marathon. Our team brings together Odyssey House clients, for whom those 26.2 miles are part of a larger journey of recovery, and a large team of charity runners who raise funds for our treatment and recovery programs. Every one of them could use your support, whether you can give, cheer, volunteer or share.

PIX11’s James Ford has cheered on our runners from the sidelines for years. In this short video, he talks about what it means to see the Odyssey House runners go by. Here’s how you can be part of that moment too.

Sponsor a runner

The most direct way to support Team Odyssey is to sponsor one of our charity runners. Every gift helps them reach their fundraising goal, and funds care for the people and families Odyssey House serves. You can support a charity runner you know or give to the team as a whole.

Cheer at Mile 19

By Mile 19, runners are deep into the race, and a familiar voice can make all the difference. Odyssey House runs a water station there every year, and it’s one of the best places to cheer on Team Odyssey and every runner who passes by. Bring a sign, wear your Odyssey House gear, and help keep our runners going.

Volunteer at our water station

Want a front-row view? Join our staff and volunteers handing out water at Mile 19. It’s a chance to support thousands of runners, cheer on Team Odyssey up close, and be part of one of New York’s great days.

Share their story

Can’t make it on race day? You can still help. Share James Ford’s video, follow Odyssey House on social media, and repost our race-day updates to cheer the team on from wherever you are. Every share helps more people see what recovery looks like, one mile at a time.

See you on race day

However you choose to show up, your support tells our runners they’re not doing this alone. Thank you for standing with Team Odyssey, at Mile 19 and beyond.
