“I believe in myself a little bit more from them telling me I always got this. That’s what makes you strong.”
Felissia, mom in recovery

They say the opposite of addiction is connection. When moms recovering at Odyssey House begin to open up, speak with, and listen to their peers, they build the communication skills that build community. As their babies find their first words, their new voices expand their worlds. As their moms courageously embrace the vulnerability of truth-telling, they make the worlds their babies will grow into that much stronger and more abundant. We all have a voice. In community, we help our loved ones who have been silenced find theirs.
