Wishing you a joyful holiday season!
We are grateful for the generosity and commitment you’ve shown us over the past year. Your support has helped hundreds of New Yorkers in need to achieve a healthy, lasting recovery.
This year’s holiday card image was created by members of the Odyssey House Art Project, Mark P., Anthony M., Gabriel G., and Alberto S., using traditional graphic design techniques. They applied rub-on transfer graphics to fine art paper, replicating the graphic design process by hand. We encourage clients to be patient and focused while working, skills that enhance the therapeutic benefits of the creative process.
Gabriel (left) and Anthony at work in the art room. Gabriel has been interested in art since childhood and finds the art room a relaxing environment to express his thoughts and ideas. Anthony joined the art program because he wanted to explore and see things differently as part of his treatment process. Art has taught him to embrace challenges, focus, and trust the process.
